Ok Jaanu Full Movie: OK, Jaanu is a 2017  Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Shaad Ali, based on Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani, produced by Ratnam and Karan Johar under their respective brands Madras Talkies and Dharma Productions. It is a recreation of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani, which starred  Nithya Menon and Dulquer Salmaan. It stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor as the key characters, with Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson, who appeared as the protagonists’ landlords in the original. Eesh Kakkar plays Tara’s ex-boyfriend. A. R. Rahman created the film’s soundtrack.

Story – Ok Jaanu Full Movie Free Download

Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) meets Tara (Shraddha Kapoor) for the first time at the railway station. The latter is attempting to frighten off her ex-boyfriend by threatening to commit suicide. They exchange a glimpse between the spaces between the bogies of passing trains before she vanishes.

Their subsequent encounter is at a friend’s church wedding, where they are sitting in the same row but a few seats apart. With a whisper, Adi and Tara introduce themselves and end up exchanging phone numbers.

Later, their chat turns to a phone call during which they describe marriage as a ‘routine,’ demonstrating that they do not believe in the idea of matrimony. Adi, a video game creator, aspires to be a massive celebrity in America, whereas Tara, an architect, aspires to be a big star in Paris.

Gopi (Naseeruddin Shah) and Charulata (Adi and Tara) dwell in the shadow of an elderly couple (Leela Samson). Sparks fly between them. They flirt, date, humma, and eventually move in together. He was a judge, and she was a classical musician. Despite Charulata’s Alzheimer’s, their love hasn’t become ‘old.’

Soon after, Adi and Taranto are  forces to choose between love and ambition. Will they follow in the footsteps of Gopi and Charulata’s love tale, or will they say goodbye to their ‘jaanu’?

Box office

The film made an estimated 392.3 million (US$5.2 million) globally, with 328.3 million (US$4.4 million) earned domestically and 64 million (US$850,000) received from overseas releases.  The film was considered a failure by Box Office India.

When it comes to music, OK Jaanu is outstanding, and A.R Rahman deserves recognition. The title tune is a fast-paced catchy ballad, Eena Sona is amorous, and the misplaced Humma song is incredibly addicting if played on repeat. ‘Saajan Aayo Re’ and ‘Sun Bhavara’ are soulful songs. Jee Lein, on the other hand, is adequate.

I really liked the movie. It was a lovely one with wonderful tunes, great acting, and a unique perspective on modern relationships. Aditya and Shraddha performed admirably in the film. Shaad Ali did an excellent job in the picture.
